La Mama in Ink
Echoing the graceful basket shape of the Ama family of totes, La Mama is scaled up to create an entirely new vessel form with elongated handles and expanded space to carry all your essentials.
A perfectly proportioned shoulder carry bucket that widens gradually to form an undulating swooped top edge, featuring double layer oval handles and an interior drop pocket with zipper and card slot. La Mama may be worn open for an ample silhouette, or gathered into an amphora shape when the interior closure belt is cinched. Finished with our custom brass hardware to lock closed at the top.
Named to honor the Ama free divers of Japan, those who made their lives of the sea. Celebrating ancestral knowledge passed lovingly between generations, measured breath, fierce capacity balanced by gentle gesture.
